About Charlie Eve
I have worked as an early literacy tutor for the last five years, teaching children from all over the USA early reading and writing skills. I am also a professional author/illustrator and have worked with both trade and educational publishers. Reading, art, books, and tutoring are just a few of my favorite things. I am a happily married mama to two kids, a dog, a cat and a couple of overly-affectionate fish.

Jolly Phonics is a fun, engaging systematic and multi-sensory approach to learning to read. Each lesson incorporates fun jingles, actions, and stories as we build early reading and writing skills. The early weeks teach the letter sounds SATIPN, in this order because it allows us to introduce a number of two and three-letter words. (CVC words and decodable readers) This gets the children segmenting, blending, reading and writing words early on. Practicing Jolly Phonics with me is all about active learning.
