About Luke
Hello everyone! I am a CRLA Certified academic tutor who spent the last year working with the Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques Center. I have the most experience in tutoring students in high school and college-level math courses up to Pre-Calculus, but I have also assisted students with writing essays, breaking down reading assignments, and preparing for all kinds of tests.
The SALT Center caters to students who have learning challenges and/or disabilities, such as ADD, ADHD, dysgraphia, dyslexia, hearing difficulties, and many more special circumstances. Because of the training and tutoring I did through their program, I have experience with students of all academic levels and many diverse strengths and weaknesses. There are a host of affordable online and analog tools which can help students breakthrough in their academics and beyond, and I am happy to show you how to use them.
I have worked with the University of Arizona SALT Center since September of 2022, and their standards for privacy, student rights, and special needs are revered throughout the tutoring world. As your tutor, I will respect your wishes, privacy, needs, and rights as a hardworking and unique student, just as I have throughout my life and career.

My typical lesson includes lots of whiteboards, open questions, and plenty of gentle instruction. Students learn best when they find things for themselves, and I use a few methods to keep students engaged and learning.
