About Monica

Hello! I’m Monica, a certified Spanish teacher with over 9 years of experience helping people from all around the world learn Spanish. Since 2019, I’ve been teaching Spanish online. I’m now based in Edinburgh. I have a master’s degree, a journey that has deepened my passion for language, culture, and communication. In my free time, I enjoy cooking new recipes, salsa dancing to stay active, and swimming to unwind. I also read a lot, everything from literature and language learning resources to novels and nonfiction. Reading is a big part of my life, and it has inspired me to start writing as well. I’m thrilled to share that I’m about to publish my first book, a project that has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding.

About the lesson

From 2016 to 2019, I taught full-time at a Spanish academy in my hometown, working 40 hours a week with both individual students and small groups of up to six people. It was a wonderful experience that allowed me to connect with learners from many different cultures. That time showed me just how incredible people are from every corner of the world. Since 2019, I’ve been teaching Spanish online. I’m now based in Edinburgh, and I can teach either online or in person. Over the years, I’ve taught more than 500 students, and I’m proud to say that 100% of them have rated me with 5 stars. My lessons are enjoyable, personalised, and based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. I love getting to know my students and adapting each session to their personality and learning style. Every class is carefully prepared just for you. I hope to meet you soon!
