About Jacopo

TEACHING EXPERIENCE: I have been teaching English for about 10 years in various contexts, including: online, in primary and secondary schools, in language schools abroad (Ireland and UK), privately as a tutor. I really like teaching Italian because it is my native language, but also English because it is my favorite among those studied. I have experience with students of all ages, levels and specialize in improving conversation and language fluency. I base my lessons on conversation, a limited number of new words in class with attached practice, correction of pronunciation and suggestions on the appropriate accent and register to be used in certain contexts. EXPERIENCE AND ACADEMIC TITLES: Master in Linguistics, Pedagogy and Literal Translation (University of Milan) Scholarship in Mexico, Guadalajara for 6 months One-year Erasmus Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures in Almeria, Spain. About the lesson

TEACHING STYLE, EXPERIENCE AND APPROACH: Aside from all these tedious papers and certificates, I am a down to earth teacher whose main skill is being able to connect and understand students' needs from the very beginning of the lessons. I have experience in teaching children of all ages (3-12), adolescents and adults from different cultural and working backgrounds. I have been teaching English for almost 10 years, starting in 2010 as a private tutor while studying at the University. I started teaching in the classroom and online in 2015 while obtaining certifications in teaching in 2018. I have taught in primary and secondary schools in Italy, language schools in Ireland and the UK, online to students from Asia and South America. I believe that the cultural background of my students always catches my interest and allows me to create classes designed for the linguistic and morphosyntactic characteristics of those students' mother tongue to allow for a better understanding and to enrich and develop the learning process. TYPOLOGY OF LESSONS: My lessons are focused on improving self-confidence and conversation skills because I believe those skills are only acquired and improved by practicing those many grammar rules and new words you study every day. As a native Italian speaker, I fully understand the difficulties of improving speaking, more due to a translation dependent culture where it is extremely difficult to practice speaking and conversation. I believe this is referring to many non-native English speakers who like to practice speaking and speaking more. I'm here to help you with this because I know that feeling. I am also willing to teach anyone interested in English and whatever age is accepted, I personally love teaching children because lessons can be really fun for both of us: D!
