About Sonja
I started tutoring at the age of 15. I taught a girl my age to read for the first time. It was then that I knew I had a gift. I went on to get my teaching certificate in elementary education. My specialty is reading because that is the basis of all learning. I then went back to get my secondary teaching certificate in math.

I have a way of breaking down seemingly difficult tasks into easy steps. It doesn’t have to be hard. I create my own tricks for students to remember items. I have been told by my old students that I can teach anything to anyone. It’s true. I am able to take what some consider to be an extremely difficult task and break it down into easy steps. I make learning easy and fun. I love to laugh and joke. Learning does not and should not be boring.
