About Daizer

Hello! My name is Daizer. I am a BC-certified teacher with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. I taught English for three years and now work as a secondary Teacher On Call in British Columbia. I am also completing professional studies in English language learning and literacy instruction through Queen’s University.

I was born in the Philippines and speak English and Filipino. My experience as an internationally educated teacher helps me understand the effort involved in learning a language and adjusting to a new school system.

I teach secondary students, English language learners, international students, and adults. I provide support in grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, pronunciation, and school assignments.

My lessons are friendly, organized, and suited to your goals. I explain ideas in simple language, give practical examples, and provide clear feedback. I look forward to helping you strengthen your English skills and feel more confident using the language.

About the lesson

I use a learner-centred approach. I adjust each lesson to the student’s goals, English level, interests, and learning pace. My methods include clear explanations, guided practice, real-life examples, reading activities, conversation practice, and helpful feedback. I create a respectful space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

A typical lesson begins with a short review or warm-up. I then introduce the learning goal and explain the new skill using simple examples. The student practises with my support before completing an independent activity. We end with feedback, a brief review, and a clear next step.

I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in English. I taught English for three years and now work as a secondary Teacher On Call in British Columbia. As an internationally educated teacher who speaks English and Filipino, I understand the challenges of learning and using another language.

My lessons suit secondary students, English language learners, international students, and adults. I support reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, pronunciation, school assignments, and everyday English.
