About JoAnn
As a child, I loved to read. The stories would play out in my mind like movies, and I could envision every character and place. By the time I was in 5th Grade, I was reading at a high school graduate level.
I graduated college with honors in business and went on to have three children who I tutored in English, History and Writing. I wrote for an online interest magazine as a hobby and then decided to get my teaching certificate in ESL.
Today, I work as a Court Reporter where proper English and grammar are a necessity, but I have never lost the desire to help others. It's what I love to do!

Learning should be fun. We make the most progress when we enjoy what we are being taught and it is presented in several different ways. Not everyone learns the same way, why should we teach that way?
I believe in lessons that speak to the learner and take a subject that held little interest for them initially to a subject they want to explore further every day.
