About Chiew Hui

I am a friendly and approachable tutor with over 5 years of experience supporting students across different levels, particularly in computer science and IT-related subjects. I focus on helping students build real understanding and confidence, rather than just memorizing content.

I have worked as a teaching assistant and have guided many students through challenging university units. I also have industry experience through two internships at large companies, as well as research experience, which allows me to connect academic concepts to real-world applications.

In addition, I create and share high-quality learning materials, including structured notes written in LaTeX and Google Sheets. These resources have helped many students improve significantly, and I consistently receive positive feedback for my clear explanations and effective teaching style.

About the lesson

I personalise every lesson based on each student’s level and goals, focusing on what they need most! Whether it’s mastering fundamentals, improving grades, or preparing for exams. I am good in simplifying complex concepts so they become easy to understand and apply.

I prefer conducting physical, face-to-face lessons where I can explain concepts clearly by drawing them out step-by-step. This helps students visualise ideas better and build a deeper understanding.

Lessons are typically 1–2 hours, combining clear explanations with guided practice. I also provide effective problem-solving techniques, shortcuts, and exam strategies to help students perform confidently and efficiently.
