About Damien
I have a First Class BSc (Hons) and PhD in Psychology from the University of Bristol. I am a Chartered Member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have taught and supervised at a number of Universities to hundreds of undergraduate and postgraduate students and doctoral researchers. To date, I have tutored 20 psychology students from A-level to PhD. I keep my learner numbers low to ensure I can be responsive to the needs of those with whom I am working.

My sessions are tailored to the needs and preferences of each learner. I believe in multi-modal learning and utilize a variety of methods, drawing upon different resources (e.g. videos, diagrams, peer-reviewed papers, etc.). Crucially, I adopt a guided discovery approach to promote critical thinking and active learning. In essence, I do not believe in giving learners the answers; rather I aim to empower learners by supporting the development of the knowledge, skills, and confidence to find the answers themselves.
