About Sunil
I am a professional, reliable tutor with a strong commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment. I work as a full time Tutor in London and usually respond to all requests within an hour (depending on my tutoring schedule). I have formal knowledge of safeguarding children and take student wellbeing and confidentiality seriously in every aspect of my work.
Academically, I hold two Master’s degrees—one from Imperial College London in Chemistry and another from University College London in Chemical Research. This background gives me a deep understanding of the subject and the ability to explain complex scientific ideas with clarity and confidence.
Before tutoring, I worked as an organic chemist in industry, gaining hands-on experience that enriches the way I teach and helps students see how classroom concepts connect to real-world applications.
I have extensive experience tutoring both one-to-one and in small groups, supporting learners with a wide range of abilities and goals. My approach is calm, structured, and student-focused, ensuring that every learner feels supported, motivated, and capable of achieving strong results.

I take a calm, patient approach to teaching, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. I specialise in breaking complex topics down into clear, manageable steps and then gradually building on them to develop deep understanding.
Regular questioning and short practice tasks are a core part of my lessons, helping me check understanding, reinforce learning, and identify areas that need more support. This structured approach has consistently helped students improve their confidence and academic results.
Most lessons are 1 hour long, which allows enough time to introduce new material, practise it, and review progress.
For students who benefit from extended support—particularly during exam preparation—I also offer 2-hour sessions.
I have a proven track record of helping students make measurable progress, whether they are aiming to strengthen their foundations or achieve top grades. My experience includes working with learners of different abilities, adapting my teaching style to suit their pace and learning needs.
