About Jack
Hi, I'm Jack! I have graduated from the University of Warwick with a First Class Masters in Chemistry, and am studying for a PhD in Chemistry also at the University of Warwick, researching the synthesis of iron-oxo clusters for their use in sustainable catalysis. I chose chemistry because I have a passion for science and that answers that it gives about the way the world works and how we can use it to improve the lives of people around us. A levels and GCSEs are the foundation of understanding for further study and not only the knowledge but the skills gained are invaluable and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge in science so that everyone can achieve their full academic potential.

My lessons will be engaging and interactive and I understand that each student learns differently and I will help you to find the way that works best for you to remember key concepts. When first starting to tutor a student I will work with them to understand what they feel are their weakest areas of a subject and help them to ensure they have the best resources for that topic covering all of the key concepts needed to achieve their potential, and progress will be measured through exam style questions that can be revisited to see if their marks improve over time. Exam technique is one of the most important things, and being able to apply your knowledge to exam questions is key. Therefore my lessons will mostly be structured in revising key concepts and then applying the knowledge to exam style questions. Also, building a long-term memory for exams is key and therefore revisiting concepts covered in previous sessions on a regular basis is a great way to ensure building your long-term memory. Rescheduling and Cancelling Lessons: Lessons will be able to be either cancelled for a full refund or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the lesson starts.
