About Kalyan

I'm Kalyan, a lifelong learner and teacher, and I am eager to guide you on your academic journey. With an International Baccalaureate diploma, a degree in Microbiology & Data Science from UC Berkeley, and a 100th percentile MCAT score, I bring a strong STEM background to our lessons.

I am currently a Research Specialist at UCSF, studying stem cell derived neurons. I can ground your education in real world applications and help you establish your career in the life sciences, whether that be a PhD, MD, or industry.

About the lesson

To best use our sessions, I recommend bringing lecture material or problems that you found difficult. I can also provide lessons during our sessions and go over practice worksheets.

In the longer term, I can help you find a studying strategy that works for you, using my methods that helped me achieve success in my classes and exams.

These lessons are meant for undergraduate students pursuing STEM careers in medicine, biology, or chemistry, as well as high school upperclassmen who like to push their limits and plan ahead.

Kal was an amazing tutor who really helped me tackle the challenges of MCB 102. His support was absolutely invaluable during some of the toughest parts of the course. I was struggling with a lot of the tricky concepts, but Kal's ability to explain things clearly made a huge difference. He was always so approachable and encouraged me to ask any and all questions, no matter how simple they seemed. It created a really relaxed and supportive vibe that made learning a lot easier!
