About Lydia
I have experience tutoring GCSE Biology/Science.
I tutored two students that were on the C/D borderline, both weekly for a few months.
One I tutored in student-led sessions, in all Science subjects and she achieved a C in her GCSE Science.
The other I tutored in tutor-led sessions focusing on exam technique, he achieved a B his GCSE Biology unit.

I'm Lydia, I am currently studying for a DPhil in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. I have just finished my BA Neuroscience from the University of Oxford (2:1). I have A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths (all A*) and an AS in Further Maths (A). I have 8 A*s at GCSE including sciences, maths and statistics.
I can give lessons in GCSE maths, biology, physics and chemistry. I can give A-level lessons in Biology.
I like to have a very practical/visual approach to teaching, with a focus on exam technique for those studying for specific exams. I am very happy to have a student led or tutor led lesson in which I can answer questions/explain specific topics or I can prepare a session. I like sessions to be fairly relaxed so students are happy to be open with their understanding. I am a very patient tutor and try to explain concepts in a variety of different ways.
