About Abigail Jones
With a Bachelor of Science in Physics and ongoing Ph.D. studies in Math, Chemistry, and Theoretical/Computational Physics, I bring a strong background in the sciences to my tutoring sessions. Over 7 years of professional tutoring experience, including 2.5 years as a university tutor, have equipped me with the patience and adaptability needed to help students excel in challenging subjects like Chemistry. I prioritize creating a fundamental understanding of the material, correcting bad habits, and fostering critical thinking skills to help students succeed not only in Chemistry but in their future pursuits as well. My goal is to pass on my knowledge and experience in Chemistry to every student I encounter, guiding them towards becoming better learners overall.

My approach to teaching chemistry revolves around fostering a deep understanding of the subject matter, rather than relying on rote memorization. By creating a solid foundation of fundamental concepts, I aim to help students avoid common pitfalls and overcome challenges in the subject. I tailor my teaching style to meet the individual needs of each student, taking the time to understand their unique learning preferences. I provide students with resources that I have personally crafted to enhance their comprehension and mastery of chemistry. Ultimately, my goal is to empower students to think analytically and approach chemistry with confidence, setting them up for success in their academic pursuits.
