About Curtis
I have 7 years of experience teaching chemistry and hold a Master’s Degree in Chemical Sciences. My education and hands-on experience have equipped me with a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry, which I bring into my teaching to make learning engaging and effective.
I guide students across all levels, from foundational learners developing conceptual understanding to advanced students preparing for exams or research applications. My teaching emphasizes patience, structured guidance, and practical exercises to build both confidence and analytical thinking.
Teaching chemistry is deeply rewarding because I witness learners transform from uncertainty to competence. Students gradually develop critical reasoning, calculation skills, and an appreciation for chemical processes in everyday life. Observing their growth motivates me to continuously refine my lessons. My aim is to create a nurturing, interactive, and supportive environment where students cultivate analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and long-lasting interest in chemistry, empowering them to excel academically, professionally, and personally in all areas involving chemical understanding.

My chemistry lessons focus on making chemical concepts engaging and understandable. I cover chemical reactions, stoichiometry, atomic structure, organic and inorganic chemistry, and practical problem-solving strategies. Lessons include step-by-step explanations, real-world applications, and interactive exercises to help students connect theory to practice. I emphasize conceptual clarity, ensuring learners grasp why reactions occur and how calculations are structured rather than just memorizing formulas.
Lessons are adapted to learners’ proficiency. Beginners focus on fundamental concepts, basic reaction types, and simple calculations with patient guidance. Intermediate learners explore stoichiometry, molecular structures, equilibrium, and titration exercises. Advanced learners work on organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, analytical problem-solving, and laboratory-based calculations. Each session integrates guided practice, troubleshooting, and feedback to reinforce comprehension and boost confidence in handling chemistry tasks independently.
I aim to build learners’ confidence, analytical thinking, and practical understanding of chemistry. Through interactive explanations, discussions, and real-life examples, students develop the ability to approach chemical problems logically and creatively. Over time, learners strengthen reasoning, calculation skills, and conceptual mastery. My ultimate goal is to cultivate a solid foundation in chemistry, making students capable of tackling academic challenges, preparing for exams, and applying chemical principles in practical or research contexts with assurance and clarity.
