About Harlow
My fascination with chemistry began early, captivated by the interactions of substances and the logic of reactions. This curiosity led me to earn a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry. Over 10 years of teaching, I have guided students through complex chemical concepts, helping them build understanding, confidence, and practical skills. I emphasize clarity, structure, and engaging explanations that make abstract ideas tangible.
I am passionate about connecting theory to practice. Many students initially find chemistry abstract, so I integrate experiments, real-life examples, and step-by-step problem-solving to bring concepts to life. My teaching style encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning, helping learners develop independence and mastery.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with scientific research, laboratory techniques, and contemporary developments in chemistry. Bringing these insights into lessons enriches learning, making it relevant and inspiring. Witnessing students transform from uncertainty to competence and excitement about chemistry is deeply rewarding and motivates my continued dedication to education.

Chemistry becomes exciting when students can connect reactions, molecular interactions, and analytical principles to real-world examples. My lessons focus on organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, balancing theory with practical applications and experimental exploration. Each class encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on problem-solving. Students learn to manipulate chemical equations, predict reaction outcomes, and understand the logic behind molecular behavior, rather than relying on memorization alone.
For beginners, I focus on foundational concepts such as atomic structure, bonding, and simple chemical reactions, gradually building a robust conceptual framework. Intermediate learners explore stoichiometry, thermodynamics, equilibrium, and solution chemistry, applying principles through experiments and problem-solving exercises. Advanced learners dive into reaction mechanisms, spectroscopy, analytical techniques, and complex synthesis, developing both theoretical insight and laboratory skills. Lessons are designed to be engaging, interactive, and intellectually stimulating while building confidence and competence.
Learning chemistry enhances analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and scientific curiosity. Students gain the ability to interpret experimental results, make predictions, and think logically across disciplines.
