About Justine
My journey into chemistry began with fascination for chemical reactions, molecular interactions, and the way substances transform under different conditions. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Physical Chemistry. Over 7 years, I have guided learners of all levels, simplifying complex concepts and fostering strong analytical and problem-solving abilities through patient, clear, and structured explanations.
I believe teaching chemistry requires both clarity and engagement. I use diagrams, simulations, examples from everyday life, and step-by-step explanations to make abstract concepts tangible. My lessons emphasise reasoning, experimentation, and critical thinking, helping students develop confidence and independence in understanding chemical phenomena.
Outside the classroom, I continue exploring chemical research, experiments, and scientific literature to bring real-world context to my teaching. Witnessing students transform from confusion to clarity, developing curiosity and confidence about chemistry, is deeply rewarding. My goal is to instil understanding, analytical thinking, and a lifelong interest in chemistry for every student I teach.

Chemistry becomes exciting and approachable when students connect abstract theories to observable reactions and real-life applications. In my lessons, I cover atomic structure, chemical bonding, periodic properties, reaction mechanisms, organic chemistry fundamentals, and laboratory safety practices. I explain concepts step by step in simple English, providing examples, diagrams, and hands-on simulations to reinforce understanding. Each session encourages learners to ask questions, analyse data, and build confidence in solving problems, fostering a deeper appreciation for the subject.
Lessons are personalised based on students’ levels. Beginners focus on understanding elements, molecules, and basic reactions, while intermediate learners work on stoichiometry, chemical equations, and experiment interpretation. Advanced learners engage with organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, and applied chemistry in real-world contexts. Through guided practice, reasoning exercises, and structured problem-solving, students steadily develop clarity, accuracy, and analytical thinking, helping them succeed academically and conceptually.
Studying chemistry strengthens logical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Students learn to predict reaction outcomes, analyse patterns, and connect ideas between theory and practice. My aim is to nurture curiosity, analytical confidence, and a practical understanding of chemistry, empowering students to approach both exams and experimental challenges with skill and confidence.
