About David
I have been teaching and tutoring since University. In the military I taught and led courses for basic and advanced field medical care for soldiers. I am now teaching classes of 20 to 30 students, and do one on one tutoring for 12 hours a week at the college I teach at.
I tend to tutor 'harder case' students who are having a lot of trouble with their studies. I focus on bringing interest to the subjects the students are learning. I love to pass on the wonder of our world and how things work. In my tutoring I try to pass on memorization skills while teaching the material they are learning. I also try to teach students how to find resources to help them understand a difficult topic. This has been quite effective. My students, unless very troubled typically go from failing marks into the 70s and 80s.

I have a BScH in Molecular Biology and Genetics. I have worked in a number of lab settings doing immunological work as well as basic cell research. I left the lab to work as a medic in the military and was trained as a tactical paramedic. When the conflict in Afghanistan ended I left the military and have been teaching Biology, Anatomy and Physiology and Chemistry at the College level, and providing Academic Coaching in the College Student Support Lab.
