I have been teaching chess for nine years, working with learners from complete beginners to competitive players. My lessons are built around structured learning, practical play, and constructive feedback, ensuring students develop both the knowledge and the confidence to succeed. I have helped students achieve tournament victories, rating improvements, and stronger overall consistency in their games. My approach combines proven strategies with creative thinking, enabling each player to find their personal style while mastering essential principles of the game. Outside teaching, I actively compete in both over-the-board and online events, staying current with modern opening trends and tactical themes. This keeps my lessons relevant and ensures students receive guidance grounded in real-world competitive experience.

We begin with opening mastery, where you’ll learn core principles like controlling the center, developing pieces efficiently, and preparing flexible plans. You’ll explore a range of openings suited to your style, ensuring you start every game with a clear, effective strategy.
The next stage focuses on tactical awareness and strategic depth. Through solving puzzles, reviewing classic games, and practicing calculated decision-making, you’ll strengthen your ability to spot opportunities, anticipate threats, and adapt your play based on your opponent’s moves.
Finally, we turn to endgame strategy, where precision matters most. You’ll study critical checkmating patterns, pawn breakthroughs, and theoretical positions, giving you the skills to convert small advantages into victories and defend difficult positions under time pressure with confidence.
