About Ariel

I’m a Chess.com Coach with a platform‑verified profile, a rapid rating above 2200 (my username is maafernan on both Chess.com and Lichess), and years of experience teaching and training players of different ages and levels.

I offer chess lessons and training with a clear, methodical, and personalized approach designed to strengthen habits, improve calculation, and accelerate practical progress.

About the lesson

The lessons are 1‑hour online sessions, fully interactive and personalized according to the topics each student needs to work on.

I use the Chess.com Classroom tool and Google Meet for online sessions.

I work with beginner, intermediate, and advanced students (0–2000 rating). My approach is clear, practical, and adapted to each student’s level. In the lessons we can work on:

— Essential fundamentals and basic tactics
— Practical thinking: how to avoid mistakes and create simple plans
— Guided practice and targeted exercises
— Game analysis and personalized feedback
— Strategy, planning, and endgames according to the student’s level
— Opening repertoire
— Tournament preparation (for advanced players)
