About Chanelle

I'm Chanelle! I am a fourth-year university student studying Pediatric Psychology. I also work in Supported Child Development. My daily work involves supporting children with disabilities and their families to ensure they have inclusive environments to learn. This includes looking at strategies and adaptations that are unique to children and foster their ability to grow. I have years of experience supporting children with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia and other barriers to learning.

Previously, I have worked in a preschool and kindergarten classroom supporting students academically. I also have years of experience teaching and creating fun, innovative ways to learn that capture little ones' attention. What does this look like? I will incorporate movement, games, play and your child's interests into lessons. I will focus on building confidence in your child's unique strengths and fostering an environment that feels safe for them to grow and ask questions. I aim to make learning fun and celebrate the journey!

About the lesson

Hi!

I have over 15 years of experience working with children with various learning styles and abilities. I have worked in a classroom, one-on-one and with children with disabilities. My approach to learning is strength-based. I like to focus on building confidence in what you CAN already do. We then explore what strategies work best for you to learn successfully. It is critical to me that all children feel welcome and that lessons are inclusive of their unique needs.

I have experience working with children from birth to high school. I enjoy making learning for younger children fun and engaging. Lessons are tailored to include your child's interests and the things that bring them joy.
