About Anthony
I am a recent graduate of New York University Shanghai. I lived and studied in Shanghai, China for three years and I received a bachelors in political science and a minor in Mandarin Chinese. My Chinese coursework includes Modern Chinese Literature, Classical Chinese, and Advanced Chinese I and II.

I strongly believe that people learn languages best when they engage with material in the target language that interests them, whether this be movies, podcasts, articles––anything! Whether you are learning a language to prepare for an exam or just looking to broaden your horizons, meaningful exposure to your target language is key. I am happy to work with students to identify the areas in which they'd like to progress and find and work through materials that will help them reach their next immediate goal. I do not believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to language education. If the student prefers more rigid structure, I am happy to provide it. If the student would like more leeway to explore topics or grammar points as they arise, I am also happy to be of help. Kindness and patience is key!
