About Cong

Hello, I'm a Chinese student in Australia. I'm currently working on my master's degree. I really enjoy my time with children, and the satisfaction of teaching knowledge. So I want to become a tutor.

Chinese is a language that has been in circulation for more than 2,000 years and is the only hieroglyphic script that exists in the world. I grew up in China and have lived here for over 20 years. I fully understand Chinese culture. By taking classes with me, you will not only learn a language, but you will also learn a lot about authentic Chinese culture.

I have an endless passion for the language and a good understanding of Chinese. I have taken various English exams such as IELTS, PTE, etc., and I am able to teach in both Chinese and English. At the same time, I have also studied German, so I fully understand the methods and difficulties of learning a foreign language, which can help students applying a language more quickly. Finally, I enjoy kids time, and I am very patient with teaching.

The purpose of learning a language is to apply. Practice is crucial in the process of learning Xi. I will encourage you to take the first step to master the language in constant contact. Discover your interests and use them to help you master Chinese happily.

About the lesson

I approach teaching Chinese as a language and culture experience, emphasizing communicative skills that can be applied in real-life situations. I believe in an active, interactive style of learning, and I try to make lessons fun and engaging for my students.

Here are some of my teaching methods and techniques:

Grammar and vocabulary breakdown: I start every lesson with a review of the previous week's vocabulary, followed by a discussion of new grammar points. I use real-life contexts to illustrate new vocabulary and grammar, making it easier for my students to remember and apply the knowledge.

Interactive games and activities: I incorporate interactive games and activities into lessons to engage students and make learning fun. These games might include word association games, role-playing scenarios, or quizzes to test knowledge.

Pair-study: I encourage students to pair up and practice speaking Chinese with each other, which helps them improve their communication skills and confidence.

Feedback and evaluation: After every lesson, I provide feedback on students' performance and suggest areas for improvement. This helps students understand where they are succeeding and where they need more work.

Here's a typical lesson plan:

1.Review of previous week's vocabulary and grammar
2.New lesson introduction, including objectives and lesson plan
(concealed information) on new grammar and vocabulary
4.Interactive games and activities to reinforce learning
5.Pair-study or individual practice time
6.Feedback and evaluation on performance

What sets me apart as a tutor is my enthusiasm for teaching Chinese, my flexibility in adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles, and my ability to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves.

The lessons are designed for teenagers who are interested in learning Chinese as a second language. The lessons are tailored to the specific needs of each student, taking into account their level of proficiency, interests, and learning style. I try to make the lessons engaging and fun by incorporating music, videos, and other multimedia resources to help make the learning experience more exciting and effective.
