About Shiqiao
Hello! I'm Shiqiao Wang, but you can call me Beatrice. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in education at the University of Sydney. My educational journey has been focused on this field, as I also pursued a major in education during my undergraduate studies.
During my college years, I gained valuable experience by working as a tutor in China for four years. This role allowed me to accumulate extensive teaching experience, particularly with students in middle and high schools. Through these experiences, I have developed a scientific and effective approach to teaching Chinese.
With my background in education and practical tutoring experience, I am well-equipped to provide meaningful and engaging instruction to my students. I am excited about the prospect of furthering my skills and knowledge in education through my master's program at the University of Sydney. 1. At the outset of the first class, I prioritize assessing the students' proficiency in Chinese. This initial evaluation informs my instructional approach, allowing me to tailor my teaching methods to their unique needs.
2. The duration of each class typically ranges from 1 to 2 hours. This flexibility allows me to adapt to the students' specific requirements, providing additional support when necessary.
3. My teaching encompasses a holistic approach, covering various language skills such as listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Additionally, I focus on enhancing students' vocabulary and grammar proficiency.
4. A key objective of the lesson is to deepen students' appreciation and understanding of Chinese traditional culture.
5. The curriculum I teach is based on the official materials coping with the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) standard course. This ensures a well-organized and comprehensive learning experience, aligning with recognized proficiency benchmarks.
