About Evelyn
Singing is a major passion of mine, the feeling I get from big pieces and concerts is unparalleled. I want to teach because I hope to be able to pass on that same love and passion and also to help those with an interest in singing learn how to sing to the best of their ability in a safe way and with proper technique. Having spent 5 years as a chorister in a cathedral, singing soprano, I learnt a lot. I had classical singing training along side my daily rehearsals and several services a week. I was chosen to be one of 14 girls choristers to sing at the King’s Coronation in May. Working as part of very professional choirs built teamwork and an ability to work to the highest standards and in a professional manner.

With a more specific focus on technique, I will teach you how to sing some off your favourite pieces but also help you to expand your singing repertoire. About 30 minute lessons. Grade 7 in singing (officially), 5 years worth of classical singing training. Happy to work with beginner adults, kids and teens. My lessons are for beginners and at a certain point I'd recommend getting a professional, certified singing teacher. I will teach basic music theory as we learn to sing as well as how to read sheet music when applicable. Given that my background is in classical singing, my lessons will lean towards that sort of music, though I enjoy musicals and would be happy to work on that type of music too.
