Have you ever looked at a science question and thought, “I have absolutely no idea what they’re asking me…”?

Yeah, science can feel pretty confusing when you’re expected to remember a bunch of seemingly random facts without really understanding how or why they connect.

But once you understand the why behind something, the science becomes much easier — and honestly, a lot more interesting.

Hi, I’m Azra!

I have completed Cambridge IGCSE Coordinated Sciences and have developed a strong understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics through my studies.

My approach is to break complicated scientific concepts into simple, understandable ideas using examples, diagrams and real-world situations. I want students to understand how and why something works rather than simply memorizing an answer.

As a tutor, I aim to create a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and trying again. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit their individual needs, learning style and goals.

My aim isn’t just to help students improve their science results, but to build their confidence, curiosity and ability to think independently.

What I offer: Online Science lessons for Years 3–5, helping students strengthen their understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics while developing confidence in science.

About the lesson

My tutoring style is friendly, patient and tailored to every student. Students are better learners when they understand why something works instead of simply memorizing facts. I explain scientific concepts clearly using examples, diagrams and guided practice to help students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of Science.

I can help with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, basic scientific concepts and homework. I adjust each lesson depending on the student’s strengths and the areas they need to work on, while keeping sessions relaxed, engaging and age-appropriate.

Lessons usually last between 1 and 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s needs and attention span.

I have completed Cambridge IGCSE Coordinated Sciences and have studied Biology, Chemistry and Physics to an advanced secondary-school level. Although I am not a qualified classroom teacher, I enjoy breaking down difficult scientific concepts and finding simple ways to explain them. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel able to ask questions, make mistakes and learn from them.

My lessons are aimed at students in New Zealand Years 3–5 (ages 7–10), who would like extra support with Science, homework, understanding scientific concepts and building confidence in the subject.
