Learn History with Confidence – Guided by an Expert Teacher and Examiner Hello, I’m Cikgu Olly, a passionate and dedicated Sejarah teacher with over 20 years of experience in Malaysia’s government school system. I currently serve as an SPM Sejarah examiner, which allows me to teach with deep understanding of the exam format, marking schemes, and techniques that lead to success. I’ve helped countless students from Form 1 to Form 5 build strong foundations in Sejarah, improve their writing skills, and gain the confidence they need to excel in exams. My lessons are structured, engaging, and focused on real results. My Teaching Approach – Cikgu Olly (PT3 & SPM Sejarah Teacher & Examiner) As a government school teacher with over 20 years of experience, I teach Sejarah from Form 1 to Form 5, helping students at all levels understand the subject deeply and answer confidently in exams. I'm also a current SPM Sejarah examiner, which gives me valuable insight into how students can score better in both PT3-style and SPM-style questions. My Techniques & Teaching Methodology: I use simple storytelling, diagrams, and keyword techniques to help students remember facts clearly. Focus on understanding concepts, not memorizing blindly. Teach students how to answer structure and essay questions correctly. Provide past-year questions, answer models, and marking tips used by real examiners. Build students’ confidence with active Q&A sessions and writing practice. Lesson Duration: Each session is typically 1.5 to 2 hours, adjusted based on student needs and level (Form 1–5). Qualifications & Experience: 20+ years teaching Sejarah in government schools Experienced in both PT3 and SPM formats Current SPM Sejarah Examiner Helped many students move from C/D to A grades Who Are My Lessons For? Perfect! Teacher Olly is an excellent history teacher for SPM. She's extremely well-versed in the topics and answer schemes for the SPM history paper. She knows every niche and aspect of that subject. So, you will be guided by an expert in SPM history.
She's an excellent storyteller as she'll guide you through the annals of history so smoothly that you'll start falling in love with the subject. She's also an expert grader, so your kids/students will master the skills needed to ace the SPM history paper.
She uses a variety of tools to make lessons both engaging and entertaining. In my niece's case, she used clips from Anna and the King to explain nationalism and modernization in Thailand. Lo and behold, that very topic appeared as an essay question in the SPM 2025 exam. The visual aid from Anna and the King, combined with her question-and-answer sessions, helped my niece sail through her SPM paper with ease.
Personality-wise, she's patient and kind to her students. I strongly recommend Teacher Olly to students, parents, and schools seeking help with the SPM history paper.View more reviews
