About Myka
I'm a Civil Engineering student with a strong passion for mathematics and helping others succeed. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a solid understanding of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and other mathematical concepts that are essential in engineering.
I believe that learning math doesn't have to be intimidating. My goal is to make every lesson clear, interactive, and enjoyable by breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-follow steps. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and build confidence through consistent practice and guidance.
As a tutor, I am patient, reliable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where every student feels comfortable learning at their own pace. As a tutor, my goal is to make mathematics simple, engaging, and easy to understand. I believe that every student can excel in math when lessons are explained clearly and at a pace that matches their learning needs. I encourage students to ask questions and create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
Teaching Method and Techniques
I begin each lesson by reviewing previous topics to reinforce understanding.
I explain new concepts using simple language and step-by-step examples.
I connect math concepts to real-life situations whenever possible to make learning more meaningful.
I provide guided practice before allowing students to solve problems independently.
I give constructive feedback and additional practice on topics that students find challenging.
