Teaching piano offers a clear path to mastery. I demand focus. Over 4 years of instruction, I have observed that disciplined practice is the only way to succeed.
Holding a Master of Music from the Australian National Academy of Music, I navigate the complexities of sight reading, sight transposition, rhythm, ear training, hand independence, scales, arpeggios, music theory, pedaling, jazz, and classical repertoire. My studio welcomes everyone from nervous beginners to those preparing for grade exams. My methods reflect a no-nonsense approach to technical growth.

Having spent 4 years teaching from my base at the Australian National Academy of Music, I emphasize that technical drills like scales and arpeggios are the backbone of musical fluency. Lessons integrate sight reading and theory into every piece to ensure you understand why the notes move as they do. We move beyond simple reading to master the nuance of pedalling and jazz improvisation. Achieving these goals requires patience and a structured plan that matches your current ability level perfectly.
I ensure that all 9 components of performance become second nature through rigorous repetition. You will gain the confidence to perform your chosen repertoire at your next milestone event.
