About Ana
I am a piano tutor with over 14 years of experience teaching college students, dedicated to helping learners build strong skills and musical understanding. My teaching style is adaptable and student-focused, allowing lessons to progress at a comfortable pace. I emphasize proper technique, sight-reading, rhythm, and music theory, while making lessons engaging through improvisation exercises, composition projects, and modern music integration.
I also focus on developing performance confidence and emotional expression. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students enjoy learning, feel supported, and grow into confident pianists.

My approach to teaching piano is student-centered, creative, and structured. I aim to help students enjoy learning while developing strong technical and musical skills.
Creativity is incorporated through improvisation, creative exercises, and exploring different music styles. Students are encouraged to express themselves and stay motivated in every lesson.
As a mentor and critical thinker, I guide students to understand rhythm, finger technique, scales, chords, and musical expression in simple, easy-to-follow steps. Students learn to analyze their playing and improve consistently.
Accountability is emphasized through goal setting, structured practice routines, and regular progress reviews. This helps students stay disciplined, confident, and focused on their learning journey.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm skills, keyboard basics, and basic composition to support overall musical growth.
