About Hana

I have a B.M. in Piano Performance and am currently the organist at the Christ Episcopal Church. My experience is in Classical piano repertoire, and I am an avid improviser as well as a composer, and an advocate for sight reading. There are all things I can incorporate in lessons to help strengthen your unique realization of music.

I have taught beginning elementary school students to advanced high school students and can teach a wide array of abilities if you are willing to ask yourself why you want to bring music into your life, not only for achieving goals, but to find how music serves you as a person, and to spend time nurturing that part of yourself that wants music to be a part of your life. As a fellow musician, this connection has been very important to come back to as I continue my life with music and hope it will help you on your journey with music as well.

About the lesson

I believe every person has the innate ability to play music, so my role is to be your guide, sharing skills I have learned over the years that will help you in realizing your unique voice in music.

I will help you on your musical journey by developing your ears to recognize what you want to hear, showing you concepts of music theory that helps reveal the true nature of music, and using piano technique to help create the sound you want to hear.
