About TINA
A classicist by training. I have completed doctoral studies in Comparative Literature (Ancient Greek and English Literature) at the University of Αthens and at University College London (UCL). I have been giving lessons in Modern and Ancient Greek for about 20 years now, both in the UK and in Greece. I am currently based in Athens, where I work as a freelance tutor and translator. There is a high rate of success be it in exam-taking or learning Greek for specific purposes. References are available.

My classes are based on the premise that the tutor needs to have a good rapport with the student, especially when it comes to the teaching of some challenging issues in Greek Syntax . Good rapport ensures that the student feels they are learning what is needed to be learnt without feeling pressurized by sonorous grammatical terms and rules. It is also my instructional goal to lift the burden of excessive homework by optimizing the teaching resources available for the online class.

Details
Lessons are held exclusively online. There is no extra charge for Advanced Level Students, unless there is academic writing involved (e.g. should there's a university level essay that needs to be written, and so on and so forth). In case of group classes (no more than two students), the rate is negotiable.
