About Stefan
First of all, I should say that I read Latin and Greek recreationally, so a good tutoring session is a truly enjoyable experience for me. And I know students prefer working with a teacher who is still in love with his own material. When not working with the Classical World, I am an amateur musician who loves spending time composing for guitar, piano, or banjo.

I differ from most Latin teachers in that I can speak this dead language. That means I can very quickly give many examples to illustrate a grammatical point. I pride myself on helping my students understand the inner workings of the language. I am not content simply to tell students what a Latin passage means and then tell them they need to memorize it by rote; I get down in the weeds with my students and I help them find their way through the difficulties.
