About Gracie
Hi! I’m Gracie, and I hold a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science from Auburn University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in psychology, human development, social sciences, communication, and interpersonal relationships. I am especially passionate about helping students understand concepts related to psychology, social skills, nonverbal communication, and human behavior. I became interested in tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand material that may not come naturally to them. As someone who has always valued education, I understand that every student learns differently. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, working through difficult concepts, and building confidence in their abilities. With my background in clinical mental health counseling, I bring both academic knowledge and an understanding of how different learning styles, communication patterns, and individual strengths can influence the learning process. I strive to make lessons engaging, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you are looking for help understanding a psychology concept, preparing for an exam, strengthening your understanding of social science, or developing your knowledge of communication and human behavior, I would love to help you reach your academic goals!

My teaching approach is student-centered, focused on identifying individual learning styles and adapting my methods accordingly. I incorporate active learning, visual aids, analogies, and scaffolding techniques to build confidence and deepen understanding. I aim to foster both academic growth and self-efficacy.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by clearly stated objectives for the session. I then introduce new content through interactive explanation, provide guided practice, and conclude with a quick assessment or discussion to reinforce comprehension and address any remaining questions.
What sets me apart is my ability to create a supportive, judgment-free learning environment that empowers students to take ownership of their education. I build strong rapport, personalize instruction, and offer consistent encouragement, which helps students feel more confident and motivated to succeed.
My tutoring sessions are ideal for high school and college students, particularly those studying psychology, counseling, or general education subjects. I also work well with students needing academic support for foundational skills, test preparation, or those managing learning differences and anxiety around academic performance.
