About Yusuf

I am a motivated student with a strong background in mathematics, computer science, and entrepreneurship. Alongside taking college-level mathematics courses, including Calculus II, I have built software projects, worked on technical solutions, and developed a strong problem-solving mindset. Through my experiences, I have learned how to break down complex ideas and explain them clearly. I bring patience, dedication, and a passion for helping students become more confident in math.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is focused on understanding, not memorising. As a 17-year-old senior high school student currently taking college Calculus II, I know the challenges students face when learning difficult math concepts, and I focus on explaining ideas in a clear and approachable way.

A typical lesson begins by identifying areas where the student is struggling, reviewing important concepts, and then working through practice problems together. I encourage students to ask questions, think through problems step-by-step, and develop problem-solving skills they can use independently.

What sets me apart is that I am actively learning advanced math myself, so I understand where students commonly get stuck and can explain concepts from a student’s perspective. My lessons are designed for students studying algebra, geometry, precalculus, and calculus who want to improve their understanding, grades, and confidence in math.
