About Jo An
I have a Master's degree in English Education and 34 years' experience teaching basic skills, freshman composition, technical writing, introduction to literature, and tutoring. I have taught somewhere around 6,000 students during my career, and I believe not one suffered permanent damage.

My teaching philosophy is to begin at the beginning and go on from there as quickly as my students can handle the material. I can look over students' work and see where their weaknesses are and teach them how to correct for them. And I try to do it all with a sense of humor.
