About Miquela
Hi! My name is Miquela, and I'm a recent college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Communication, specializing in Sport and Human Communication. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I've developed strong reading, writing, and communication skills that I'm excited to share with students.
I understand that learning English can sometimes feel overwhelming, which is why I strive to create a positive, patient, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Whether your goal is to improve your reading comprehension, strengthen your spelling, become a more confident writer, or simply keep up with schoolwork, I'm here to help you succeed.

My approach as a tutor is centered around patience, encouragement, and helping students build confidence in their English skills. A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by focused instruction on the day's topic. I use interactive activities, guided practice, reading passages, writing exercises, and constructive feedback to reinforce concepts. I end each session with a recap and, if appropriate, a short practice assignment to help students continue building their skills between lessons.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students and make learning engaging rather than intimidating. As a recent college graduate with strong communication skills, I understand the importance of explaining concepts in clear, relatable ways. My goal isn't just to help students complete assignments—it's to help them become more confident readers, writers, and communicators.
My lessons are ideal for elementary, middle, and high school students who want to improve their reading, spelling, writing, grammar, vocabulary, or overall English proficiency. I also welcome adult learners who are looking to strengthen their English skills for school, work, or everyday communication.
