About Kelly
I was a first-generation, international student who struggled with not having English as her native language and not having any built-in support. Because of this, I am familiar with the associated challenges and how to best overcome them.
I am originally from Belgium and my native language is Dutch (Flemish), although I speak fluent English now.
I always had a passion for nature and went on several internships where my passion for Biology only got larger. I now have 10 years of higher education and several research projects under my belt. But teaching has always been my passion.
I want to be that support system for my students, that I did not have myself when I first started my academic career.
Some fun facts about me? I sing, play the guitar, play dungeons and dragons, and love to bake.

First of all, I want to learn about YOU. How can I best help you be successful? What do you want to accomplish? What are some struggles?
From there, we'll set up a plan of action. I find that there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach when it comes to tutoring. Everyone learns differently, so I will adjust my teaching style to your needs.
I find that students best learn when they are engaged, when we apply the content through real-world examples, and feel that I am genuinely interested in helping.
My tutoring style best fits high-school, college, or adult education levels.
