About Kristen
With over 7 years of ESL teaching experience, I specialise in helping college students develop clear and effective communication skills. My lessons focus on academic writing, grammar improvement, vocabulary building, pronunciation, and reading comprehension. I understand that confidence plays a major role in language learning, so I create a supportive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable practising.
My classes are interactive and practical, including structured writing exercises, guided conversations, listening tasks, and real-world examples. I integrate multimedia content and digital learning platforms to make lessons engaging and modern.

My ESL teaching methodology focuses on building strong communication skills through structured and practical learning. I design lessons using real-life examples and case studies such as workplace conversations, university discussions, travel situations, and everyday communication. This helps students understand how English is used in real situations. I encourage active participation in every class through speaking practice, listening tasks, reading exercises, and writing activities.
Motivation is an important part of my teaching style. I guide students with positive reinforcement and clear learning goals. When students face challenges, I apply problem-solving techniques to simplify grammar rules and explain concepts step by step. Integrity and professionalism are central to my approach, and I provide honest and constructive feedback.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons according to individual learning speeds and needs. In addition to ESL, I also teach spoken English, grammar development, academic writing, and professional communication.
