About Yolanta
I am a communications student with a passion for English and specifically writing. In high school, I was an after school English tutor for two years to help my peers perfect their written and oral expression. In college (CEGEP), I volunteered at the English Improvement Center as a tutor to help students correct mistakes in their papers and projects. As a summer job, I am currently teaching English to 3 Italian children (age 9 and 12) who started at a beginner level. After one month, I already see some amazing progress!

My teaching methods are highly personalized and interactive. I believe each person learns in a different way and I use the first few encounters to determine what types of exercices would work best for each student specifically. For example, I will use a theoretical and classic approach if someone is cerebral and works best in a framed context while I will opt for a discussion and creativity based approach if a person tends to have trouble concentrating for long periods of time.
