About Selena
I am a teacher, a student, a mentor, a scientist and an actress who has been in leadership positions for more than 6 years. I began my undergraduate studies in 2016 and have completed research projects and internships at several institutions around the country, including Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and City College of San Francisco. My studies have been in the sciences, mathematics, and theatre arts performance.

I offer lessons to all age ranges and folks from different walks of life, up until early postsecondary education. My teaching method is primarily based on interactive lectures and inquiry-based lessons. I base my classes around relevant topics, applicable questions, and step-by-step solutions. My best teachers have been empaths who are able to see things through my perspective and show me where I may be having difficulties -- I do my best to approach every student with the same level of compassion that has helped me thrive.
