About Raya
My journey with programming began from curiosity about how software and applications work behind the scenes. Over nine years, I have explored multiple programming languages, frameworks, and real-world projects, gradually building both technical mastery and a passion for teaching. Sharing these skills allows me to help students transform from hesitant beginners into confident, creative coders who can navigate the digital world independently. I teach with patience, adaptability, and encouragement, recognising that every student learns differently. Some thrive through structured, step-by-step instruction, while others flourish with creative exploration. I adjust lessons to match each student’s pace, learning style, and interests, providing a balance of guidance, challenge, and support. Mistakes are reframed as opportunities, helping learners develop resilience and confidence in their abilities. Beyond the classroom, I continue to work on personal coding projects, explore emerging technologies, and study innovative programming methodologies. I believe that teaching programming is not only about imparting knowledge but also about cultivating curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a mindset for lifelong learning. Helping students achieve this balance is the most rewarding aspect of my career.

Computer programming is a versatile skill that allows students to transform ideas into tangible results. In my lessons, I present coding not as a series of rules but as a creative, logical process that can be understood and applied by learners of all levels. I focus on helping students grasp the reasoning behind each line of code, building their confidence and problem-solving skills simultaneously. Mistakes are embraced as part of the learning journey, providing insight into how solutions are constructed and refined. The learning environment is supportive and encouraging, ensuring students feel empowered to explore, experiment, and innovate. Beginner students start by learning the fundamentals: variables, loops, conditions, functions, and basic programme design. Intermediate learners progress to object-oriented programming, algorithm development, debugging strategies, and project-based learning. Advanced students tackle data structures, software architecture, algorithm optimisation, and real-world coding challenges. Lessons are designed with practical application in mind, ensuring students can see their knowledge come to life through projects, exercises, and personal creations. Support for school assignments, competition preparation, and portfolio development is integrated seamlessly into each session. As students advance, they develop not only technical expertise but also resilience, focus, and creative thinking. Coding becomes a tool for expression, innovation, and problem-solving beyond the classroom. My ultimate goal is for students to see themselves as creators in a digital world, capable of designing, building, and controlling the technology around them. Confidence grows alongside skill, empowering learners to tackle increasingly complex problems with curiosity and determination.
