About Ammar
I am a Computer Science undergraduate student, currently attending the University of Southampton starting September 2019. I have extensive experience and knowledge of Java, C++, C# and Python - having programmed in those languages for 7, 3, 4, and 6 years each respectively. I've been tutoring online and offering group sessions since my GCSE years (2015) and have tutored over 50 people throughout the years.

I present my students with the knowledge and understanding necessary to apply a topic to any scenario they wish. Rather than expecting them to be able to program a simple application after being told what a specific mathematical construct does in relation to another or explaining programming terminology and expecting students to innately grasp their uses, I much prefer to explain the underlying mechanisms behind them and how they work; this provides a solid foundation from which I believe the students can excel in their endeavours, having fully understood the details of what they've learnt and not just how: but also why and when to apply them.

For home visits, my cancellation policy is to charge half of the cost of the lesson - or if bought in an upfront plan to deduct 1 lesson from the total hours purchased. If lessons run over the allotted time by up to 20 minutes, there is no extra charge.
