About Liam
Hello! My name is Liam and I am 26 years old. I am a professional who spent over 7 years working in the Information Technology field. I voluntarily left my I.T. Manager position a couple years ago to pursue my degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
I am currently aiming to transfer to UCLA, and have maintained GPA of 3.96 since returning to school. I am a highly motivated student myself and love to tutor, in the hopes I can get other students as excited about learn as I am!
Additionally, I have been playing chess since the age of 3 (yes, really) and taught my first class when I was 9! I love to introduce people to the game.

I aim to approach teaching by providing a strong foundational knowledge of a subject. It is my belief that 'knowing' and 'understanding' something are 2 very different achievements.
I consider myself to be a unique tutor, as I have a strong basic foundation in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and even some Biology! Having a strong foundation in these subjects allows me to connect the STEM sciences in a way that gives context as to the "bigger picture" of why we learn what we learn.
Another thing that sets me apart is that I used to be a terrible student! I used to think that certain subjects were beyond my capabilities - however I overcame this mental obstacle, and became the straight-A student I am today!
My tutoring is primarily aimed at high-school/undergraduate students who are motivated to learn.
