I was a student of Mike's learning Data Structures. He is an excellent teacher, willing to take extra time to work with you and explain things in further detail. His assignments were tough, but in a good way, he wanted to ensure that we really learned the concepts and were able to put them into practice. He has a relaxed teaching style with a bit of goofy dad mixed in. He's easy to learn from and interact with, and clearly knows what he's talking about.

Mike and I worked together as software engineers for over a decade. During that time, I've had two types of interaction that move me to recommend him. First is a substantial amount of mentoring he has given me over that time. Second is discussions we've had concerning lessons he's taught in-person at a local college (I'm a former adjunct myself). Both give me confidence that he's knowledgeable and that he's dedicated and skilled at getting ideas across. He'll meet you where you're at; can't get better than that.

Mike was my computer science instructor! He has awesome exercises that are creative and engaging. The programs he had me write really applied the concepts that I needed to learn. He helped and assisted me as much as I needed, but he also let me work through things on my own to build my skills. I highly recommend Mike for CS tutoring!
