About Rasmus
I have been programming for more than 15 years and got a job as a software developer immediately after graduating from high school. I've participated in programming competitions and I am not studying Computer Science. I have long experience in the field, and ten years experience of Linux and free software.
I helped my classmates in high school with programming homework and at university I've been helping both group members during group work and my friends.

I tend to sit next to the student, ask them to explain what they've done and then guide them in the right direction. If they need to know a new concept in order to solve a problem (typically I help students with homework) I'll teach them the concept with some example code, and then ask them to look at the problem again.
I believe programming can only taught by practice, i.e. coding.
