About VICTOR
I am a dedicated and detail-oriented English tutor with a strong academic background in Computer Science and professional experience working with international language platforms such as Rev, TranscribeMe, TranscriptionStaff, and Babbletype. Through this work, I have developed exceptional listening, comprehension, and language accuracy skills, which I bring into every lesson.
My teaching style is structured, patient, and highly student-focused. I understand that learning a new language can be challenging, so I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and growing from them. 1. Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching approach is student-centered, practical, and interactive. I focus on helping learners use English confidently in real-life situations rather than just memorizing rules.
I use a mix of:
Communicative language teaching (CLT): encouraging students to speak as much as possible
Task-based learning: using real-world tasks like conversations, emails, or interviews
Error correction with feedback: correcting mistakes constructively without interrupting fluency
Personalization: tailoring lessons to each student’s goals (work, school, travel, etc.)
I also incorporate listening, speaking, reading, and writing in a balanced way to build complete language skills.
2. A Typical Lesson Plan
A standard lesson is structured but flexible:
Warm-up (5–10 minutes):
Casual conversation or a quick review of previous material
Introduction of Topic (10–15 minutes):
Vocabulary, grammar, or a specific skill (e.g., pronunciation or writing structure)
Practice Activities (20–30 minutes):
Role plays (e.g., job interviews, daily conversations)
Reading or listening exercises
Guided speaking tasks
Production Stage (15–20 minutes):
Students use what they’ve learned in a more open-ended way (discussion, storytelling, or writing)
Feedback and Review (5–10 minutes):
Corrections, tips, and a quick recap
Optional homework is given to reinforce learning.
