Hi all :)

My name is Romy and I am a professional singer from Belgium.
I started giving lessons 5 years ago and I graduated with a didactic master's degree in singing from the Liège Conservatory. I'm also studiyng the first level of Estill Voice Training : it's a vocal method based on science who will help you to control 13 parts of your vocal anatomy. It can learn you to sing lots of vocal style like belt, twang, lyric, speech, ...

It would be a pleasure to meet you and help you discover your voice, whether for lyrical or variety techniques and whatever your level!

As a performer, I have several experiences in Belgium and France, notably in the choirs of the Liège Opera.

Je m'appelle Romy et je suis une chanteuse professionnelle de Belgique.
J'ai commencé à donner cours depuis 5 ans et je suis diplômée d'un master didactique en chant du Conservatoire de Liège (BEL). Je continue de me former au premier niveau de certification du modèle Estill. Estill vous apprend à contrôler 13 parties de votre anatomie vocale, afin de chanter plusieurs styles de chant comme le belt, le twang, le chant lyrique, ...

Ce serait un plaisir de vous rencontrer et de vous aider à découvrir votre voix, que ce soit pour du lyrique ou des techniques de variétés et ce, qu'importe votre niveau!

Comme performance, j'ai plusieurs expériences en Belgique et en France, notamment dans les chœurs de l'Opéra de Liège. En ce moment, je me concentre surtout sur ma carrière de pédagogue et la certification du modèle Estill.

About the lesson

Have you ever wanted to sound like Beyoncé or Lady Gaga? Do you want to understand what's the chest voice and the head voice? You want to try singing, but you think you can't do it? I can help you!
I adapt every lesson depending on your needs, with choosing together the songs you like for working with it.
We can use a karaoke track or I play piano.

My methodology is based on traditional vocal teaching and the Estill model. Depending on your goals, you will learn several things that will help you become more and more independent and, above all, confident.

Here are examples on what we can work together :
- Work on the body using various tonic and relaxation exercises;
- Breathing control;
- Kinesthetic feelings;
- Learning the 13 figures of the Estill model (a figure corresponds to one part of the vocal anatomy, for example the false vocal chords who can help you to sing without tension in the throat);
- Work on the different timbres of the singing voice (lyrical, twang, belt, speech, etc.);
- Phrasing of the song (legato, staccato, riffs/vocalizations, ...);
- Healthy diction and projection;
- Voice support;
- Interpretation.

I offer you an atmosphere filled with kindness and humor. For me, it is essential that you enjoy coming to class and it is important that you feel comfortable with me :)

J'adapte tous mes cours en fonction de vos besoins et vos objectifs. Ensemble, nous choisirons un ou deux morceaux que vous aimez et sur lesquels vous souhaitez travailler votre technique et votre interprétation.

Ma méthodologie se base sur un enseignement vocal traditionnel et le modèle Estill auquel je me certifie (1er niveau).

En fonction de vos objectifs, vous apprendrez plusieurs choses qui vous aideront à devenir de plus en plus autonomes et, surtout, confiants.

- Travail sur le corps à partir de divers exerices de tonification et de détente;
- Contrôle de la respiration;
- Ressentis kinesthésiques;
- Apprentissage des 13 figures du modèle Estill (une figure correspond à une partie de l'anatomie vocale );
- Travail sur les différents timbres de la voix chantée (lyrique, twang, belt, speech, ...);
- Phrasé du chant (legato, staccato, riffs/vocalises, ...);
- Diction et projection saine;
- Soutien vocal;
- Interprétation.

J'offre toujours une ambiance remplie de bienveillance et d'humour. Pour moi, il est essentiel que vous preniez du plaisir à venir en cours et il est important que vous vous sentiez à l'aise avec moi :)
