About Joshua
Hello! I’m Joshua, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English and a consistent Dean’s Lister committed to helping students improve their English skills with confidence and enjoyment.
My academic journey has strengthened my communication, teaching, and leadership abilities while developing a strong foundation in English language instruction. I am also continuously enhancing my professional knowledge through TEFL training and studies in Early Childhood Care and Development to better support learners with different needs and learning styles.
As a tutor, I value patience, preparation, and creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing ideas. I focus on making lessons interactive, organized, and goal-oriented while helping students build confidence in speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and overall communication.
Whether you are improving your English for school, personal growth, or language development, I aim to make every lesson meaningful, engaging, and supportive of your progress.

Hello! I’m Joshua, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English and a consistent Dean’s Lister who is passionate about helping students develop confidence and proficiency in English.
My teaching approach focuses on creating an interactive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment. I believe students learn best when lessons are engaging, practical, and adapted to their individual needs and learning pace. I use communicative teaching techniques, guided practice, discussions, reading activities, vocabulary development, grammar exercises, and speaking opportunities to encourage active participation and real-life language use.
A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up activity or review, followed by introducing the lesson objectives and new concepts. Students then participate in guided activities, practice exercises, and interactive discussions before ending with feedback and reflection to monitor progress and reinforce learning.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my strong academic background, passion for teaching, and commitment to making lessons enjoyable and meaningful. As someone currently expanding my teaching knowledge through TEFL training and Early Childhood Care and Development studies, I continuously develop strategies that support different types of learners.
My lessons are suitable for beginner to intermediate learners, elementary to high school students, and individuals who want to improve their English speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and overall communication skills.
