About

I have been teaching dance, Pilates and aerials for several years. And one of the points that defines my work is that I design each class depending on the student or the group, that is, they are not classes for a general public but rather I focus on exploiting and bringing out the qualities of each student of the movement.

About the lesson

Yelinka Granado is a contemporary dancer, dance teacher, aerialist in training, Pilates instructor, and movement artist. She has been a student and member of the Airdancelive dance and aerial acrobatics company since 2017-2022. Yelinka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing, earned in 2008. Her dance training began in 2005 at Mudanza Contemporary Dance Company and School. She is a graduate of the TEEX Experimental Theater Workshop, where she studied acting and dance theater. Her diverse training includes various dance styles from institutions such as Taller de Danza de Caracas, Mudanza, TEEX, Taller Experimental de Danza Pisorrojo, and the Experimental University of the Arts, focusing on postmodern dance, modern dance, dance theater, contact improvisation, choreographic composition, acting, video dance, release techniques, yoga-dance, and contemporary trends. She participated in numerous choreographic works and performances, and was a core member of the Pisorrojo Experimental Dance Workshop. In 2015, her outstanding contributions led to her selection to represent the company with a solo and duet at the Seattle International Dance Festival in the U.S. From 2016 to 2018, Yelinka took classes at Bogotá Capital Dance. In 2017, she began her training in aerial dance and worked as a teacher of Dance and Pilates at Airdancelive until December 2022. She has extensive training in Pilates, stretching, and the Garuda Method, covering topics from post-rehabilitation to functional training for dancers, acrobats, and movement artists. Yelinka has led educational initiatives in Pilates for dancers certified by the International Voll Pilates Group and has participated as a congress speaker at international Pilates events in Brazil. Her Pilates studies began in Caracas at Zona Pilates Academy, and she continued her education in Buenos Aires, São Paulo, and Bogotá. In 2009, Yelinka started teaching Pilates at Zona Pilates and other studios. By 2012, she was teaching at her home studio (Hoomana Pilates Studio), and in 2014, she began offering contemporary dance, Pilates, and movement arts classes for dancers at the Pisorrojo Experimental Dance Workshop. She taught contemporary dance and Pilates for dancers at the Zahira Dance School from 2018 to 2022. Currently, she continues her research and teaching in dance, Pilates, and aerial arts for dancers in Miami, working at various Pilates and dance studios.

A good Pilates instructor should have knowledge and expertise and yes I can say this for Yelinka, she is amazing.
The perfect teacher for the Pilates newbie like me, Even when I didn't believe in my ability, Yelinka did.
She understands her students very well.
